9. Sven Jaschan
In 2004, Sven Jaschan was behind 70% of the malware circulating online, this is due to his creation of the Netsky and Sasser worms. After a three-month investigation, he was arrested and confessed to the German police.
Microsoft had offered a $250,000 reward for information leading to his capture. Jaschan was turned in by a classmate who wanted the bounty after Jaschan bragged about his exploits. Following his sentence, he now works for a security company, like many other famous hackers.
