Setenil de las Bodegas, which lies in the Andalucia area of Southern Spain, is a stunning and distinctive location. The community is also known as Pueblo Blanco or White Village as all the houses here are painted white. The most interesting part of the place is that you will find that the houses are constructed under rocky hills.
Since many of the homes in this city were constructed against a rock cliff, they are shielded from the sun’s intense heat by the cliff’s overhang, which also provides a sort of shaded terrace in front of many of the structures. It is estimated that there are 3,000 individuals living in these historic caverns, some of which date back to the Stone Age, which began some 12,000 years ago.
